L’Aquila-based Italian super-agent, Michele Marcello, has confirmed that former Inter defender, Matteo Darmian, will join the Clubtaggio Bologna in January.
The news comes on the back of reports that the Italian international will leave the club for Bolognese.
Sources close to the club told The Telegraph that the signing is imminent, and that Marcellos son, Mattea, is keen to join the Bianconeri.
The Bianconero have been linked with a move for Darmians son, Marco, and are believed to have received a €10 million bid for the youngster.
The 22-year-old was born in Naples and has made 34 Serie A appearances for Inter since joining the Nerazzurri in 2015.
He has scored five goals in 23 games this season.
In Serie A, Mattey is second in the Serie A goalscoring charts behind Juventus midfielder Daniele De Rossi and is second on the goalscorers table, behind Roma’s Andrea Barzagli.
Darmian joined the Biancons in July 2016 for a reported €7 million, but has since signed a contract extension.
